Reviving Tradition with state-of-the art 3D printing technology. The new square design in Punat is a heartfelt tribute to the town’s rich traditions. This project, envisioned as a contemporary ‚monument‘ to our cultural heritage, aims to revive and celebrate local customs while making them accessible to all visitors to the island of Krk. A key objective was to enhance the communal space, creating a vibrant meeting spot for both, the elder and younger generations. In collaboration with the Austrian company incremental3d, Interior & Furniture Designers David Gitterle and Sara Šulina introduced a 3D printed concrete public furniture set. The design is inspired by the delicate cherry blossom, translating its organic curves into a series of three different designs. These 3D printed concrete benches are the first of their kind on Krk and in Croatia, showcasing cutting-edge technology with integrated reinforcement.
